UAAGI previews BAIC brand with 5-model SUV/crossover lineup
Automotive distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), held today an exclusive preview for the motoring media, bankers, and dealer partners of its lineup of SUVs and crossovers from its newest automotive brand, BAIC. Executives from BAIC's global headquarters were also present during the event.
Held at the Palacio de Memoria in Paranaque City, the sneak preview revealed five new models, three of which are true body-on-frame, 4-wheel drive, diesel-powered SUVs in the BAIC B40 Ragnar, B80 Wagon, and B60 Beaumont (diesel hybrid), while two are petrol-powered monocoque-bodied crossovers in the BAIC X55 Verve and the X7 Grandeza. The B Series' turbocharged engines displace from 2.0 to 3.0 liters and produce huge amounts of torque, ranging from 380 to 420 Nm. The X Series, meanwhile, feature 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engines producing 305 Nm of torque.
The brand tagline, "Dare to Drive Big," unveiled at the exclusive event, embodies a spirit of adventure, curiosity, and the boldness to surpass conventional boundaries. It encapsulates the essence of exploration, discovery, and the courage to embrace new innovations and experiences with BAIC vehicles.
The prolific automotive distributor of Foton, Chery, and just last week, Lynk & Co, is bringing in BAIC's formidable lineup of distinctively styled SUVs and crossovers, currently the fastest growing automotive segments in the country.
Being a global automotive manufacturer with diverse product subsidiaries, BAIC is undoubtedly well received by the world market. In China, BAIC made it to the list of Fortune 500 brands as the 162nd and maintains its position as the 3rd in the Chinese Auto industry.
It has also set up over 360 sales and service outlets in more than 30 countries worldwide, including Southeast Asia, Central and West Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, and Europe.
Distinguishing BAIC from the growing number of new car brands in the Philippines is its true 4x4 SUV models with genuine off-road capabilities and powerful yet economical turbo-diesel engines, making them ideal for executives and entrepreneurs who live active lifestyles and who need spacious, high-riding diesel-powered SUVs for out of town trips. Millennials and Gen Zs, on the other hand, will gravitate towards BAIC's lineup of stylish and equally capable crossovers.
Regardless of which BAIC model one chooses, it is perfectly suited for the active and outdoors-oriented lifestyle and will appeal to both multiple-car families and to first-time car buyers alike.
Indicative prices for the new BAIC models are as follows:
BAIC B40 Ragnar Php 2,400,000
BAIC B60 Beaumont Php 3,200,000
BAIC B80 Wagon Php 4,500,000
